The new NEF+ project

NEF+ is a new initiative co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the EU, that aims to foster and expand a digital community of Outdoor Learning. NEF+ is a response to the need of a platform that disseminates the Outdoor Learning methodology for vocational education and training (VET).

This initiative has its origins in the New Education Forum that takes place since 2015, a platform to exchange knowledge in VET, education, and the labour market. And the FOLM project, that has been successfully providing youngsters with the transversal skills required to enter the labour market thought Outdoor Learning since 2018. This time, NEF+ aims to enhance OL through digital means and the creation of an open digital library of resources in OL.

From Outdoors to Labour Market

The FOLM project - "From Outdoors to Labour Market” will determine if the Outdoor Learning model can activate NEETs (990 from 3 countries in total) to advance their life and professional skills to become confident and active citizens. FOLM addresses the main challenge of youth who are disengaged in education, training or employment, by providing a stimulating and innovative means for them to recognize their strengths/talents, strengthen soft skills, build self-esteem/self-awareness and fortify attitudes for employment.
